I have a different perspective. I grew up working in my father's business — a shop he built from the ground up over thirty years, expanding next door, taking on neighbouring buildings, giving people their first job and some people their last. I swept floors there. I served customers. I watched my father pour everything into something that became part of the community around it.
So when I speak to a business owner about a potential sale, I understand what I am asking them to consider. This is not just a transaction. It is their life's work, their staff's livelihoods, and something they have spent years building carefully.
My professional background is in commercial finance. I have spent a decade working inside large, complex organisations — assessing investments, partnering with senior leadership on strategy, and understanding what makes businesses work at a fundamental level. I am a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
Bellcroft Capital exists because I want to do something straightforward: find a well-run UK business, pay a fair price for it, and look after it properly. No rebranding. No redundancies for the sake of it. No flipping it in three years. Just responsible ownership and steady growth.
